Canary Coffee, by Philip Watts Design for Accor hotels.

Accor Hotels have been busy constructing a landmark building at 40 Marsh Wall, Canary Wharf. A brand new Novotel,  ground up.

Nestled at the bottom of the building there is something small and magical. A little peaceful, stylish venue. There is no name above the door, just a drawing of a little bird looking confident and maybe a bit pleased with himself surrounded by a coffee ring.

Welcome to Canary Coffee.

Inside is an informal, relaxed interior, that is a mix of exposed concrete, reclaimed planking punctuated with brass and copper lighting. Colour is added with a variety of vintage style fabrics and wonderfully curated playful artworks

Not to mention a flock of bespoke yellow Vitra Canaries. It is the sort of comfortable place full of wireless chargers and sockets that is an absolute oasis for modern life in the big city.
