Stableford’s is an established British lighting brand in Yorkshire, England. Each piece is hand-made to order and crafted from the finest materials, with luxurious finishes including polished leaf, tiger bamboo or ebony.

Their innovative lighting ranges have already been featured at prestigious events such as 100% Design and Decorex. In addition to their own exclusive design commissions, Stableford’s manufacture for other top lighting designers and have customers across the UK including at the prestigious Chelsea Harbour Design Centre in London. Glenn and Jane Stableford, the brother and sister duo behind the brand, run their workshop in the foothills of Bronte Country, in West Yorkshire, and focus on developing original design, with uncompromising quality, for the luxury interiors market.

The Design Creator of Bespoke Lighting

Stableford’s is a lighting design specialist company with over 15 years’ experience, serving both the construction and interior design markets. The genuine craftsmanship approach of Stableford’s addresses, besides the lighting sector, any interior design project. Glenn, author of the designs, artisan, creator and craftsman, explains: “We pride ourselves on creating beautiful quality decorative products for new build developments, high-class conversions and prestige refurbishment projects. We also design and manufacture bespoke pieces for the home. Our clients include renowned lighting designers and architects, property developers, building contractors, shop fitters, joinery manufacturers and interior designers.” Stableford’s offers an exquisite range of table, ceiling and floor lamps. The entire collection, with all specifications included, can be consulted on their website.

Showcasing new and unique processes throughout their designs, Stableford’s also offers a full design-to-finish service. The company can actually manufacture any architectural component, from the smallest oak door knob to wooden furniture, mouldings or large diameter columns. Stableford’s also offers the building industry a complete stair balustrading service, in both bespoke specifications and in standard ranges.

Materials and Production

Stableford’s works with wood, metals, resin and acrylic to name but a few. The finishes include, among many others, gold, copper, silver and platinum; the wooden essences range from scorched fired ash to wenge and the patina – from verdigris or rust. In matters of balancing tailor-made demands and the requests from their catalogue, Glenn relies on his production strategy as well as on efficient delivery: “Our one-off projects are all individually turned, while the larger volumes required for housing projects are turned on copy lathes. Of course, none of this means very much without a prompt, efficient delivery service and we ensure that our turnarounds suit both our bespoke commissions and the greater quantities for housing developments.”

Sustainable Sources

Stableford’s carefully selects the best quality timbers, for example the finest European Oak and ensure all wood is from sustainable sources. If needed, the required certification can be obtained from their Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) accredited timber merchants.
