Established in 2002, SLIDE takes advantage of Giò Colonna Romano’s 30-year-long know-how in manufacturing plastic resins. Based in Milan, SLIDE produces polyethylene furniture with an ironic design, characterised by an exceptional use of light and the product range encompasses seats, tables, lamps, pots and accessories. Items often spring from collaborations with internationally acclaimed designers including Karim Rashid, Marcel Wanders, Paola Navone, Marc Sadler, Alessandro Mendini. Thanks to rotational moulding techniques and the implementation of only one material, SLIDE products are 100% recyclable.
Blos by Karim Rashid
Blos is a seat that successfully blends tradition and modernity. Mastering the use of polyethylene foam worked with the rotational mould technique, the Cairo-born designer re-invents the classic concept of a rocking chair.
Voilà by Marc Sadler
An elegant stool, equipped with a footrest. Thanks to its shape, this article completes the range of Hoplà tables.
Voilà is available with a lacquered finish, either in white light with energy efficient lighting or LED technology, which makes it even more chic and suitable for the most sought after rooms
Pure is the fun teddy bear inspired by the first all-Italian urban toy designed by LAB81, in line with the principles of the international design toy trend. SLIDE makes a urban toy lamp available to the general public.
Made of polyethylene by means of the rotational moulding technique, Pure is available in all lamp/lacquered colours.
RAP Light by Karim Rashid
Linear and essential, the new Rap sofa is the perfect synthesis of a traditional sofa and a modern polyethylene production, worked with the rotational moulding technique.
Created by SLIDE on a design by Karim Rashid, Rap renews SLIDE’s collaboration with great international names, ensuring the most innovative use of light and colour. A linear seating surface meets an embracing backrest – Rap’s apparently calm nature simply bursts with energy. Karim Rashid designed especially for SLIDE an item that is ideal for both indoor and outdoor furnishing
